THE ARTIST BEHIND THE MARKS
5T33D (pronounced ‘Steed’) is a Las Vegas street artist known for elaborate collages of cartoon-like characters, stick figures and everyday objects of humanity meshing and melding into one another. He refers to this body of work as POORKNOWS and directs many of its themes toward working-class life.
Armed with only a few markers, he often uses salvaged cardboard, wood, styrofoam and thrift-store clothing as his canvas, leaving pieces throughout cities for people to discover and collect.
5T33D has chosen to remain an underground artist without a traditional online presence. Original works are encountered, gifted, discovered or found through secondary ownership rather than treated like ordinary inventory.
Form An Legacy brings that one-of-a-kind voice into a new form: mobile mural fashion that preserves the marks, the humanity and the story while giving the work a life beyond the wall.
